Music Opportunities for ALL
Whether you can sing, hum, or simply clap your hands to the beat – or even if you can’t – Troy First has a music ministry designed just for you! This fall we are offering a variety of groups designed to appeal to every voice and musical talent – at every level – with schedule flexibility you can’t beat.
We have worked hard to provide you with opportunities to step out in YOUR personal music style. Pick a group and come join in the fun. You won’t regret it!
We sing a variety of genres and styles of quality literature about three Sundays per month. All singers who are at least high school age are welcome to join the choir. We practice on Wednesday nights from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. College and career singers are especially encouraged. Come and give it a try! Babysitting provided as needed.
"As a Little Child" (mp3)
"All on a Starry Night" (mp3)
"Write Upon My Heart" (mp3)
Grades 6-12, ages 11-18. Vocalists usually sing in 2 or 3 part style. Music will be selected with input from the participants. The choir sings about once a month, as well as the 4:30pm Christmas Eve Service, and leads the Easter “Son”rise Service. One Voice practices on Sundays at noon, right after Sunday School (no practice on days when the bells play).
"My Lord" (mp3)
We have three different bell choirs that perform about once per month. Practice is on Monday nights. Contact Sheryl Dukes or Nancy Heffron for more information.
We have opportunities for people that are interested in operating our sound system and/or video system during worship or special events. We also have opportunities for people interested in creating presentations for announcements and other content, using MS PowerPoint.
Please contact the Church office if you are interested.
